Commentary on Britney Spears "For the Record"

First of all, let me make a confession. I have always LOVED Britney Spears. Yes, I am aware that the beezy and crazy and has some serious shaping up to do. However, the girl makes music that makes you want to get up and dance, and I can't knock her for it. So this Sunday MTV premiered a documentary on Ms. Spears and let me tell you, it was EPIC. The amount of hilarious one liners I can quote from it are limitless! She said things such as "lots of people shave their heads" and "I'm just so sad" followed by "I'm just a genuinely happy person". It was hilarious! All in all I do feel bad for the girl and I want her to succeed, but she needs to do herself a favor and hire a good PR person. And Britney, if you're reading this, I am moree than available to help you out girl! Make sure to check out tomorrows post "Mormon Pattern Baldness". Its going to be so scandalous ;)

Ignorance is bliss...or so I've been told

Hello Everyone! So what's on my mind today is the stupidity of some women. These lovely little signs, as you see to the left, are placed around campus in the more remote areas. One such area called "rape hill". For those of you who cant read what the sign says, it specifically states "FOR YOUR SAFETY DO NOT WALK ALONE IN THIS AREA AFTER DARK". So why...whyyyy is it that literally every day I see girls jogging alone in the middle of the night, not even 10 feet away from these signs? Do they think they're exempt from the warning because they're jogging and not walking? Or is it that they believe since they are on the holy land of the Brigham Young University campus that they will be protected from harm regardless of their stupidity? Or maybe they're hoping that the rapist/molester will see their sparkling 1.5 k engagement ring and will decide not to bother them. Whatever the case, it is not a good idea to try to burn the cellulite away in dark, remote, tree covered places. I know it is Provo and people so ignorantly think that they're safe, but as some friends and I recently found out, the streets of Provo are crawling with sex-offenders (check the registry is appalling). So friends I hope that you are smart enough to stay in pairs while walking at night. So there is my PSA for the day!

As corny as it may be, I'm now a blogger!

Friends, new friends, and family: Welcome to my blog! I'm sure you're surprised to see me blogging! It takes enough effort for me to make a phone call or write an e-mail, and now I'm creating a complete website for me to communicate with the world! But I think this will be fun! A nice escape from my typically monotonous life of school, work, church, and my sad excuse for a love life. Since this is my first post I figured I would lay down the rules for anyone who would like to read my blog.
Rule #1- Please, please, please DO NOT take offense!
I'm a sarcastic person! And since this blog is me sharing my inner thoughts and opinions with you please take what I say with a bit of caution. As you may know, I am a Jersey girl. The buffer between what I think and what I say is basically nonexistant. For instance, when I'm driving and some psycho randomly decides to switch lanes directly in front of my without the courtesy of a BLINKER and then proceeds to go 35 in a 50 I think he/she (even though it is usually a woman in an over sized SUV that's committing this faux pas) is a jerk, therefore I scream out loud that he/she is a jerk, and proceed to stare them down like the idiot they are so that they know they're a jerk :). Never does it cross my mind that I will never see them again and my aggressive behavior has been completely wasted. But my point was that I say what I feel (whether it makes a profound affect or not), and although I try to be PC, I'm not making any promises. And if it seems that I am making rash generalizations and projecting stereotypes, let us all just remember this is all in good fun. I understand we are all children of our Heavenly Father and play a special part in His divine plan. But as you all might have experienced in your own families, some children are more annoying than others ;)
Rule #2- Don't get me wrong, I really do like Provo!
Provo has treated me well. I've met amazing people and had wonderful experiences. People are nice here, people are courteous and respectful, people are attractive, it's awesome! BUT I'm sure I will go off on my occasional rants and raves about various topics (touchy feely male on male contact between straight men, during sacrament meeting, being a personal favorite). Regardless, don't let my skewed east-coast craziness affect your opinion of Provo; make your own observations!
Rule #3- Please Remember that I'm trying to keep a certain level of anonymity
Although many of you know who I am or will easily figure out who I am, please refrain from using my name in comments. I can say more of what I think if people don't know who's mouth it's coming from. So don't call me out! Thanks!
Rule #4- Enjoy!
This blog is for fun, and I hope some people get a few laughs out of it!
